Frank Sinatra - Come Fly With Me (Capitol Records).
"Come Fly With Me" is a studio album by American vocalist Frank Sinatra, released in 1958. The work is a synthesis of the genres of Swing and Traditional Pop. It is Sinatra's first collaboration with arranger and conductor Billy May. The sound is based on a dynamic big band sound, characterized by aggressive accents of the horn section, acoustic double bass and a solid rhythm section. The compositional structure is built on standards with a travel theme, where orchestral diversity is used - from strings to complex parts of wind instruments. The record was recorded at the Capitol Tower studio and reflects the technical standards of American High-Fidelity (Hi-Fi) recording of the late 50s. The work is notable for its instrumental precision and Billy May's signature "Slurping Saxophones" style.
