Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon (Harvest / EMI).
"The Dark Side Of The Moon" is the eighth studio album by the British rock band Pink Floyd, released in 1973. The work is one of the fundamental recordings of the Progressive Rock genre. The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, with the participation of sound engineer Alan Parsons. The sound is based on the multi-track recording method, the use of analog synthesizers (EMS VCS 3, Synthi A) and loop-effects. The compositional structure is built on continuous musical cycles, where electric guitar solos are combined with Fender Rhodes, Hammond organ and saxophone parts. The recording uses elements of concrete music (Musique concrète) - sound inserts and samples of everyday sounds. The record is characterized by instrumental precision and innovative use of early 1970s studio technology.
