"IGOR" is the fifth studio album by American musician and producer Tyler, The Creator, released in 2019. The work is a synthesis of the Neo-Soul, Funk, R&B and Experimental Hip Hop genres. The album was written, produced and arranged entirely by Tyler Okon. The sound is based on the use of analog synthesizers, Fender Rhodes, distorted bass lines and rough rhythm sections. The compositional structure is characterized by unconventional transitions, multi-layered vocal harmonies and sampling techniques (e.g. Al Green, Cullen Knight). The recording features guest musicians: Solange, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. The album reflects the evolution of contemporary pop music and hip-hop towards lo-fi aesthetics and high-tech studio experimentalism. The work is distinguished by its instrumental diversity and specific, "raw" sound processing.
